Elevate launches with a bang at market!

Elevate at Market [ a new innovative forum, by Decor Mentor, for design pros to exchange expertise, encouragement and inspiration ] kicked off with a serious punch last Saturday at 4pm at High Point Market! High Point is the largest wholesale home furnishings market in the world and we were thrilled to have the market believe in and embrace our launch!

Elevate started out as a concept conceived by Decor Mentor founder, Lisa Ferguson and graphics developed in collaboration with Brainstorm Studio.

Hundreds of eager High Point design professionals made their way to 220 Elm to celebrate the kickoff of Elevate’s interactive pin wall. Every guest was given a Give and Get name tag to fill in upon arrival to make it even easier to connect and share via Elevate! The Decor Mentors, dressed in the colour of the year according to pantone–vibrant Tangerine Tango, were all on hand to answer any questions and spread the excitement! Throughout the day, 11 gorgeous ladies all in tangerine tango were hard to miss and we were stopped too many times to count and asked “WHAT were we up to?!” By the end of the night we even found a bride at our hotel to take a photo with us since the common guess was we were bridesmaids!!!

By 5 pm the Elevate wall was packed with business cards, and design professionals were enthusiastically mingling and establishing fabulous and invaluable new industry connections. Ten lucky designers also won custom Elevate iPad & iPod skins, and three others received a 6 month membership to the cloud operated project management website Connexion Software, worth $500 each. What an unforgettable way to celebrate this exciting launch! We have been drawing for finalists everyday at market and one lucky design professional will be the winner of a new website from The Old State valued at $15,000. Yes, $15,000! Wow! The guys created and programmed the site for celebrity designer, Jan Showers. The lucky winner will be revealed next week! Finalists are: Kristen Rivoli, Stacy Naquin, Jennifer Meditash, Jennifer Stoner and Donna Vining.

On top of everything else party goers were also the first to sign up for Elevate Online, which the Decor Mentors are excited to be launching very soon! We are very proud to say that Elevate Online already has a huge database of design professionals signed up and ready for the launch! Over and over again, I was thrilled to have the feedback on the quality of the designer mentor team we have curated. That means sooooo much! We want brands to come to us to partner in creative ways and know our team will always be talented, smart, creative, full of integrity and fun to work with! Mentors L to R, clockwise. Michelle Jennings Wiebe, Myself-Lisa Ferguson, Lisa Kahn, Jennifer Brouwer, Carolina Gentry, Elaine Williamson, Kati Curtis, Beth Dotolo.

I love how each designer mentor is wearing Tangerine Tango, the colour of the year, but styling their ensemble that reflects their individual style! Our necklaces were generously provided by: Layla Grayce, Max and Chloe, The Loaded Trunk and Nina Nguyen . Very interesting to see necklace each designer picked!

A big thank you to Cheminne, Scott and Robbin and Heinz our partners with The High Point Market team, Emisare and 220 Elm for being such wonderful collaborators. Decor Mentor truly believes in mutual wins, which was accomplished in spades thanks to the help of these wonderful, forward thinking and supportive individuals! We are very excited to expand this partnership for next market and for you to meet more of our mentors!
